Le Monde des Montagnes is an augmented reality installation created by swiss designer & artist Camille Scherrer. She likes to play at the intersection of technology and art, looking for new fields of investigation. She created her own universe inspired by the mountains where she grew up, animals, cable cars and old postcards.
Under the viewer’s eyes, the frontier between the real and virtual worlds becomes blurred. “le monde des montagnes” is an interactive set-up to discover the secrets hidden in the pages of an ordinary book… the shadow of a bird passes over the book, foxes’ lanterns light up the text, paper mountains emerge… the strange and magical world of the swiss mountains is hidden somewhere between these pages. Le monde des montagnes has been awarded best european design diploma with the "prix pierre berge"in the designhuis in eindhoven.
